Matt Houston Biography
Matt Houston, the crime and drama series telecasted on ABC network between 1982 to1985 was huge success as viewers used to impatiently wait for their favorite Television Serial. The role of the protagonist who was a private investigator was played by Lee Horsley. Lee Horsley played the role of responsible crime hero named Matlock "Matt" Houston.

The crime and detective series popular among viewers was produced by Aaron Spelling production. The serial was so popular that it was telecasted in United Kingdom and France as well. In the United Kingdom, the serial was started on 28 February 1983 and was launched in France on 14th April 1985.

The plot of the serial was based on the part of life of Texan based millionaire Matt Houston who was intensively active in private detective agency, one of his many businesses. The cases as detected by him generally involved murder with the help of his assistant C.J Houston. In the each episode of the serial a new case was solved by Matt Houston.

However Matt’s interest in investigating agency cost him relations with his business manager Murray who tired of him being pre-occupied with investigation, left him. Then he was assisted by C.J Parsons, his lawyer and friend.

The other characters of Matt Houston series produced between1982 to 1985 were Lt. Vince Novelli, who was his police contact and friend. Vince’s mother was other character who was in the serial running a restaurant frequently visited by Houston. During the different seasons of the serial the characters of the serial kept on changing.

The serial was also awarded with many small screen prizes. In 1983, it received prestigious Allan Poe awards in Best Television Episode award, in the same year it also bagged prestigious Emmy award for outstanding editing for a series.
